Abstract
In the context of the 2023 National Evaluation of Learning Achievements (ENLA), 70% of Peruvian students did not reach satisfactory levels in mathematics. Therefore, this research addresses the importance of Neuroeducation in the development of mathematical skills in primary school students. Integrating neuroeducational knowledge offers pedagogical strategies that promote effective learning, adapted to the brain's functioning. The objective is to describe how the application of neuroeducational principles can optimize the teaching process of mathematics, contributing to the improvement of students' cognitive competencies. The methodology used is qualitative, with an informative documentary design that compiles and analyzes recent studies, applying qualitative instruments such as a virtual file, web page log, and triangulation matrix to provide objectivity to the results. These results reveal that implementing neuroeducational principles such as brain plasticity, multisensory learning, and the use of emotions in the classroom fosters meaningful learning. Students not only improve their performance in mathematics but also increase their motivation and self-esteem. Further research is suggested on the implementation of neuroeducational principles in various areas of learning, in addition to evaluating their long-term impact.
