Abstract
During the pre-professional practices at the Private Educational Institution “El Milagro”, in the 5-year-old “Celeste” classroom, the diagnostic evaluation and daily observation showed that 90% of the students have difficulties in carrying out self-care activities. The above evidenced the deficiency of fine motor skills. For this reason, it was proposed to implement an educational innovation project that was developed through the project-based learning model and the gamification strategy. The proposed “Super Mario” project aims to improve the development of fine motor skills in 5-year-old children; For this, instruments such as a checklist, field diary, observation guide and interview guide were implemented. The results showed significant improvements in fine motor skills. The conclusions highlight the effectiveness of gamification as a pedagogical approach and the importance of addressing fine motor skills comprehensively in the educational process of children.
