dc.description.abstractLa investigación surgió a partir de la preocupación por las dificultades que presentan los estudiantes de segundo grado de secundaria en el desarrollo de la competencia Convive y participa democráticamente en la búsqueda del bien común. Con el propósito de atender esta necesidad, se implementó el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos (ABP) como estrategia metodológica para fortalecer dicha competencia. El objetivo general fue comprobar la eficacia del ABP en el incremento del nivel de logro de la competencia Convive y participa democráticamente en la búsqueda del bien común, el estudio se enmarcó en un enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño cuasi experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 29 estudiantes del segundo grado “B” de secundaria, quienes inicialmente evidenciaban bajos niveles de desempeño en la competencia. Los resultados obtenidos a través de un cuestionario demostraron diferencias significativas entre el grupo experimental y el grupo control, alcanzando un nivel de significatividad de p < 0.01, en consecuencia, el ABP constituye una estrategia eficaz para fortalecer la competencia ciudadana en estudiantes de secundaria, al mejorar de manera notable su nivel de logro en la convivencia democrática y la participación en la búsqueda del bien común. This research originated from the concern regarding the difficulties faced by second-grade high school students in developing the competence Coexists and participates democratically in the pursuit of the common good. To address this need, Project-Based Learning (PBL) was implemented as a methodological strategy to strengthen this competence. The general objective was to verify the effectiveness of PBL in increasing the achievement level of the competence Coexists and participates democratically in the pursuit of the common good. The study was conducted within a quantitative approach, using a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of 29 students from second grade “B” of secondary school, data were collected through a questionnaire specifically designed to assess democratic coexistence and participation skills. The results revealed significant differences between the experimental group and the control group, reaching a significance level of p < 0.01, wich confirms, PBL constitutes an effective strategy to strengthen civic competence in secondary school students, as it significantly improves their achievement level in democratic coexistence and participation in the pursuit of the common good.
