Abstract
La presente investigación titulada “La metodología STEAM para incrementar las habilidades investigativas en niños de 5 años”, surge a partir de los resultados obtenidos en la evaluación diagnóstica, con el propósito de desarrollar habilidades investigativas mediante la aplicación de la metodología STEAM. Se llevó a cabo bajo un diseño preexperimental con un solo grupo y medición antes y después de la intervención. Participaron 18 estudiantes del aula “Investigadores” de una Institución Educativa Pública del nivel inicial ubicada en el distrito de Lince. Se utilizó una lista de cotejo de 20 ítems adaptados al nivel inicial, que evaluó cinco habilidades investigativas. Los datos fueron procesados con SPSS, dando como resultado ser estadísticamente significativo al nivel de p<0,01. Los estudiantes a quienes se aplicó el instrumento, luego de la aplicación de la propuesta basada en la metodología STEAM, evidenciaron mejoras significativas en el desarrollo de las dimensiones de las habilidades investigativas.
This research, entitled "The STEAM Methodology to Enhance Investigative Skills in 5-Year-Old Children", arose from the results obtained in the diagnostic evaluation, with the purpose of developing investigative skills through the application of the STEAM methodology. It was conducted under a pre-experimental design with a single group and pretest-posttest measurements. The participants were 18 students from the "Investigadores" classroom of a public early childhood education institution located in the district of Lince. A 20-item checklist adapted to the early childhood level was used, which assessed five investigative skills. The data were processed using SPSS, resulting in statistical significance at the level of p<0.01. The students to whom the instrument was applied, after the implementation of the proposal based on the STEAM methodology, showed significant improvements in the development of the dimensions of investigative skills.
