Abstract
La presente tesis tuvo como objetivo diagnosticar el nivel de desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático en los estudiantes del tercer año de educación secundaria de una institución educativa del distrito de San Juan de Miraflores, perteneciente a la Unidad de Gestión Educativa Local 01 (UGEL 01). Se trató de un estudio de diseño descriptivo de tipo simple, además la muestra estuvo conformada por 140 estudiantes del tercer año pertenecientes al VII ciclo de Educación Básica Regular, donde se aplicó como instrumento una prueba diagnóstica permitiendo recoger datos específicos de la variable. Al término del estudio se obtuvo como diagnóstico que la mayoría de los estudiantes del tercer año de secundaria del VII ciclo de Educación Básica Regular, se sitúan en el Nivel satisfactorio y muy satisfactorio, lo que indica que están el logro esperado. Sin embargo, la otra mitad están en proceso, es decir, aún enfrentan desafíos al desarrollar sus habilidades cognitivas. Del mismo modo, se percibe que en las cinco dimensiones del pensamiento lógico matemático se encuentran en proceso, se recomienda implementar mejores estrategias para poder alcanzar un nivel más alto.
The objective of this thesis was to diagnose the level of development of mathematical logical thinking in students in the third year of secondary education in an educational institution in the district of San Juan de Miraflores, belonging to the Local Educational Management Unit 01 (UGEL 01). The study design is descriptive and simple and the sample population consisted of 140 students belonging to the VII cycle of Regular Basic Education, where a diagnostic test was applied as an instrument allowing the collection of specific data on the variable. At the end of the study, it was found that most of the students in the third year of highschool of the VII cycle of Regular Basic Education are in the satisfactory and very satisfactory levels, which indicates that they are at the expected achievement. However, the other half are in process, that means, they still face challenges in developing their cognitive skills. Similarly, it is perceived that in the five dimensions of mathematical logical thinking they are in process, it is recommended to implement better strategies in order to reach a higher level.
