Abstract
The Jolly Phonics method is used in teaching children during the early stages of literacy. It focuses on multisensory learning through the use of songs, images, and gestures, allowing children to learn to read by associating each phoneme with its sound. In other words, it involves the development of phonological awareness and the initiation of literacy in the English language. The aim of the present investigation is to implement the "Phonics in Action for Kids" module with first-grade students, focusing primarily on teaching the second group of graphemes through multisensory methods. The study will be conducted with a sample of 25 first-grade children, aged between 6 and 7 years, at Monterrico Institución Educativa Aplicación. It will be carried out using a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design. To achieve this, a pre-test will be administered to measure their level of phonological awareness through the "Phonics in Action for Kids" module. Finally, a post-test will be conducted to assess to which extent their English literacy levels improves and assure that the application of the "Phonics in Action for Kids" module enhances the level of English literacy among first-grade students at Monterrico Institución Educativa Aplicación.
