Abstract
In the current context, marked by rapid technological advancement, educational robotics has emerged as a highly relevant pedagogical tool due to its capacity to enhance student motivation, strengthen diverse skills, and promote higher-order cognitive abilities, particularly creative thinking. In alignment with this perspective, the objective of the present study is to explain how educational robotics supports the development of creative thinking in the teaching of Science and Technology in Basic Education. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and adopted a documentary design grounded in the systematic collection, review and critical analysis of existing scientific literature on the topic. The findings reveal that educational robotics provides students with meaningful opportunities and tools to foster creative thinking by encouraging active learning experiences in which theory and practice are integrated to solve real-word problems. Furthermore, it enhances creativity across its various dimensions and stands as an effective didactic alternative for enriching teaching practices in the area of Science and Technology.
