Abstract
This research aims to explain and analyze educational strategies to improve teaching and problem solving with integers in Regular Basic Education (RBE). It starts from the recognition of the difficulties that students face when performing basic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, due to problems in the interpretation of signs, selection of operations and understanding of verbal problems. The research design is documentary with a qualitative approach due to proposed solutions such as the implementation of the Polya method, semiotic strategies and the use of educational technologies that promote a better understanding and management of integers. In addition, the importance of contextualized and personalized teaching that allows addressing the specific needs of students is highlighted. The results of this research recognized and emphasized that meaningful learning requires combining solid theory, active strategies and clear procedures, which not only facilitates the understanding of mathematical concepts, but also enhances their application in practical and real problems.
